Faye Brooks has moved out of the flat she shared with ex fiancé Gareth Gates.
The actress, 31, took to her Instagram Stories and shared a photo of a moving van that was taking her possessions from the couple's abode just days after they split up.
The Coronation Street star also shared an inspiring message with her followers that read: 'Maybe a happy ending doesn't involve a guy. Maybe it's you, on your own, picking up the pieces and starting over.
Moving on: Faye Brooks, 31, has moved out of the home she shared with ex fiancé Gareth Gates, 35
'Freeing yourself up for something better in the future. Maybe the happy ending is just moving on.'
Faye's move comes after a source told The Sun that the break up 'has been really upsetting for both parties,' and the actress was left shocked by Gareth, 35, asking her to return her four carat diamond engagement ring.
'Gareth asked Faye to hand the ring over after they broke up', the insider added that the actress was 'surprised but gave it back to him without a fuss.'
Reports on Wednesday suggested 'controlling' Gareth has been accused of banning Faye from speaking to her friends about their relationship, according to the publication.

The singer also apparently wanted to manage Faye's acting career after she recently left her role as Kate Connor on Coronation Street.
Gareth was allegedly worried that if Faye discussed their break-up with anyone they may potentially sell the story in order to profit from the situation.
A source said: 'Gareth convinced her people just wanted to make money out of her and not to trust them. Even those with the best of intentions are scared to offer advice in case it backfires'.

However the insider added that Faye's pals are afraid to say anything about Gareth in case they get back together in a few weeks, which they suspect may happen.|
It has also been reported that Gareth wanted to push Faye's career in the right direction and had many ideas for her future project after Corrie.
Last year it was reported that Faye and Gareth split when the singer's reportedly 'very controlling' behaviour led to a series of furious rows.
The couple allegedly had volatile arguments over the soap star choosing to hit the town with her Corrie co-stars without her love, according to The Sun.

Further claims suggested the Pop Idol star struggled with boredom at times when he didn't share the same jam-packed schedule as his actress girlfriend.
An insider told the publication: 'At certain points in their relationship Gareth was very controlling. A lot of Faye's co-stars on Coronation Street have been concerned for her in the lead up to their split and are pleased she has been able to move on now.
'He wasn't always happy with Faye going on nights out with her friends from work without him which inevitably led to arguments between them.
'Gareth doesn't always have a busy schedule like Faye and can get bored when he's left to his own devices and it's during this time he would feel the need to call her phone more often.'
MailOnline has approached Gareth Gates' and Faye Brookes' representatives for further comment.

A source close to Faye and the singer claimed that although the pair want to remain friends, they couldn't make their relationship work.
An insider told Manchester Evening News: 'Faye and Gareth are both extremely sad about their relationship ending.
'They still care very much about each other and want to remain friends, but the wedding has been called off.
'They tried to make it work but sadly it's not meant to be.'
Although Faye recently quit her role in Coronation Street, she is said to have thrown herself into work in a bid to help with the heartbreak.
