Dress for Success: Interviews

Interviews are stressful enough, not to mention what to wear to interviews is even more stressful! As a graduating senior, I have interviewing on the mind. Above is a Polyvore example of what to wear on an interview. I tend to stick to black and white, but will add some color from time to time.

Also, how you dress depends on which field you are going into. Since I am in PR, I like to dress very business-y and professional but also like to show that I have a sense of style. Personally, I think the most important part of interview clothing is how you feel. If you feel great, then chances are, you are going to perform well!

This is the time when you want to make friends with a great tailor. That way, you can buy something that might not necessarily look perfect on you in the dressing room, but your tailor can turn it into something that works for your body.

I think that every college-aged woman should own at least one suit in black, navy, and/or dark charcoal. Even my freshman year, I took a public speaking course where we were required to dress professionally. Owning that suit will also make you feel ahead of the game when all of your peers are scrambling to find a perfect fit.

What do you think is the most important part of dressing for success? What do you wear to interviews? Have a fabulous day!
Yours,
